Marvel Rivals Summer Skins (2026): Every Swimsuit Costume

PUBLISHED Sep 21, 2026

Marvel Rivals summer skins are the beach and swimsuit costumes released during the game's Summer Festival events, and 2026 was the biggest year for them yet: roughly 16 new beach-themed outfits across two waves, on top of the 10 that launched in 2025. They are also known in the community as the "swimsuit" or "gooner" skins, but in-game they are simply the Summer Festival and Swimsuit Special cosmetic lines. This guide lists every 2026 costume, what it cost in Units, and which ones have already left the shop, all checked on 9 September 2026.

When the 2026 summer skins dropped

The 2026 summer cosmetics arrived in two waves. Wave one, the Summer Festival Vol. 2 and its Swimsuit Special, ran across June and July: Emma Frost and Doctor Strange opened the festival, Black Widow and Daredevil followed on 26 June, and Lady Loki, White Fox and Captain America completed the Swimsuit Special on 3 July. A tie-in event called Krakoan Reels added beach looks for Mister Fantastic, Spider-Man and Cloak & Dagger.

Wave two, the Summer Finale '26, began on 13 August 2026 with six more beach costumes — Magik, Scarlet Witch, Storm, Black Cat, Winter Soldier and Star-Lord. Because these were tied to a limited event, several have already rotated out by early September, which is exactly why the date on each entry matters more than the price.

The 2026 summer costumes at a glance

Most of the summer costumes were Epic-tier, which puts them at 1,400 Units solo or 1,600 Units in a bundle with a matching nameplate, spray, emote and MVP animation. A handful were sold as larger event bundles nearer 2,200 Units. The reference frames below sample the line — our own labelled drawings, not the game art.

Costume display names for the very latest wave come from community trackers rather than a first-party list, so treat the exact names as reported and check the in-game shop for the final wording. The heroes and the release windows, however, are well documented across the coverage we read on 9 September 2026.

The 2025 originals

The swimsuit line started in 2025 with 10 costumes, and those set the template the 2026 waves followed: light, summery reworks priced at the standard Epic tier and tied to a festival event with a hard end date. None of the 2025 originals are reliably in the shop now; like most event skins they vaulted when their window closed. If a 2025 summer costume is the one you want, watch for a possible re-release around the next Summer Festival rather than expecting it on demand.

How to get them (and fund the Units)

Summer costumes are bought in the in-game shop with Units, which you get by converting Lattice or by earning them through the pass and events. There is no way to buy a specific summer skin outside the game and no way to trade one — they are cosmetic-only and account-bound, a point the full Marvel Rivals skins catalog covers for every tier. If you need to top up, you fund Lattice through your platform store.

If a platform gift card is easier than a direct card payment, resellers like Eneba and CDKeys sell PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Nintendo credit — those are disclosed affiliate links routed through /go/, and we earn only on the card, never on the skin. Match the card's region to your account.

A note on the "gooner" nickname

"Gooner skins" is a community search term for the swimsuit line, not an official name. We use the neutral, in-game labels — Summer Festival, Swimsuit Special, Summer Finale — because that is what the shop calls them and what you will search for once you are in the game. If you would rather see what is coming next instead of what has vaulted, our roundup of new and upcoming Marvel Rivals skins tracks the Season 10 drop.

How the swimsuit line has grown

The summer line has become one of the tentpoles of the cosmetic calendar. It started in 2025 with 10 costumes and a single festival; in 2026 it grew to roughly 16 new outfits split across two distinct events, plus tie-in mini-events like Krakoan Reels that folded a few more heroes into the theme. That growth tells you something about how the game monetises: the seasonal beach set reliably draws players back, so it gets more heroes and more waves each year. For a collector, the practical effect is that no single window shows everything — you have to check both the early-summer festival and the August finale to catch the whole line.

Which 2026 summer skins stood out

Across both waves, the costumes that drew the most attention were the ones that did more than swap in beachwear. The wave-one Swimsuit Special looks for Emma Frost and Captain America leaned on strong silhouettes rather than novelty, which is why they read well in a match rather than only in the preview. In wave two, the Summer Finale gave Storm and Scarlet Witch looks that paired their existing effects with the summer palette, and Magik's finale costume slotted neatly into her already-large wardrobe. As always with event skins, the judgement call is not just whether you like the look but whether you like it enough to buy inside a closing window, because there is no second-hand market to buy it from later.

Planning for next summer

If you missed the 2026 line, the honest advice is to plan for the next one rather than hunt for a way to buy vaulted costumes now, because there isn't one. Watch for the Summer Festival to return around June, bank Units ahead of time from the battle pass and events so you are not caught topping up in a rush, and prioritise the costumes for heroes you actually play. Vaulted event skins sometimes get a re-release around the same event a year later, so a 2025 or early-2026 costume you missed is not necessarily gone forever — but there is no schedule, so treat any return as a bonus rather than a plan. We will refresh this guide with the next summer line-up and its dates when they are announced.

Frequently asked questions

How many summer skins are in Marvel Rivals in 2026?

About 16 new beach and swimsuit costumes across two 2026 waves — Summer Festival Vol. 2 in June and July, and the Summer Finale from 13 August — on top of the 10 originals from 2025. Numbers checked September 2026.

How much do summer skins cost?

Most were Epic-tier at 1,400 Units solo or 1,600 Units in a bundle. A few were sold as larger event bundles closer to 2,200 Units. Units convert 1:1 from Lattice, which costs roughly $0.99 per 100.

Are the 2026 summer skins still available?

Most of the first wave has vaulted, and the second wave is rotating out through early September 2026. Event costumes rarely stay in the shop after their window, so buying in-window is the only reliable plan.

Can I trade or sell a summer skin?

No. Every Marvel Rivals cosmetic is account-bound and cannot be traded or sold to another player. You can gift a shop item to a friend, but it goes straight to their account.
